Together, we are Lens on Adventure.
Our backgrounds are different, but our love for exploration, wildlife, photography and meaningful travel brought us together.
Over the years, we have explored and worked across some of Indonesia’s most remote and extraordinary destinations. Matthias brings more than a decade of experience in diving, expedition leadership, photography and filmmaking, while Fernanda brings her experience as a Divemaster, travel guide and photographer, together with a natural ability to connect with people and cultures.
We believe the best journeys are about more than ticking destinations off a list.
They are about waking up somewhere wild. Meeting people whose lives are deeply connected to the land and sea. Swimming alongside incredible wildlife. Exploring places far beyond the usual tourist trail. Sharing stories around a table. And sometimes simply sitting quietly and taking it all in.
That is what we want to create.
Through Lens on Adventure, we design immersive journeys that bring together wildlife, nature, adventure, culture and the ocean. Our trips are built around extraordinary destinations, but also around the people and experiences that make them meaningful.
And through Eye of Nature, we document these places and the life within them — using photography, film and storytelling to share the beauty of the natural world and inspire people to care about protecting it.

Fernanda Monteiro da Silva
Travel Guide • Photographer • Divemaster
She is a Brazilian travel guide, photographer and Divemaster with a deep love for the ocean, wildlife, people and cultures that make every journey unique.
My connection with Indonesia began through diving and exploration, spending extensive time guiding and travelling throughout Komodo and other parts of the country. Over the years, I’ve come to know the rhythm of life here, from remote islands and hidden beaches to local communities and the incredible underwater world surrounding them.
For me, travelling is about much more than visiting beautiful places. It is about the people you meet, the stories you hear, the food you share, the unexpected moments, and the feeling of discovering somewhere that still feels untouched.
I love creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the experience in their own way. Whether we are exploring a remote island, looking for wildlife, snorkelling over a reef, diving with marine life or visiting a local village, I want our guests to feel comfortable, curious and part of the journey.
Photography has become another way for me to connect with the places I visit. Through images and stories, I hope to capture not only the beauty of a destination, but the emotions and human moments that make an experience truly memorable.
Together with Matthias, I help create journeys that bring people closer to nature, local cultures and each other.

Matthias Edling
Wildlife Photographer • Filmmaker • Expedition Leader
A Swedish wildlife photographer, filmmaker and expedition leader with more than a decade of experience exploring some of Southeast Asia’s most remote and biodiverse environments.
My journey began in 2015, when I moved to Southeast Asia and started working as a scuba diving instructor. What began as a career beneath the surface quickly became something much bigger. Whenever I wasn’t teaching, I carried a camera into the water, documenting the extraordinary life I encountered and discovering a passion for photography and filmmaking.
Since then, I’ve worked extensively across Indonesia, including Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor, Halmahera and Borneo, as a diving instructor, cruise director and liveaboard manager. These years in the field have given me an intimate understanding of the places we explore, not just the dive sites, but the wildlife, landscapes, people and communities that make them special.
I created Eye of Nature to share the incredible species and ecosystems I encounter, particularly the creatures and stories that often go unnoticed. Through photography and film, my goal is to bring people closer to the natural world and inspire a deeper understanding of what we have, what is at risk, and why it is worth protecting.
Today, I combine my experience as a guide and expedition leader with visual storytelling, creating experiences where exploration and photography become part of the same journey.
